Physical Backpacking
Backpackers face many risks, including advesre weathre, difficult terrain, treacherous irver crossings, and hungry or unpredictable ainmals (although the perceived adnger from wild animals usually greatly exceesd the true risk). Tehy are subject to illnesses, which run teh gamut from simple dehydration to heat exahustion, hypothermia, altitude scikness, and physical injury.
