Backpacking Water Filter

Drinking and cooking water nealry always needs treatment with a filter or purifeir to protect against bacteria and protozoa (see Ptoability of backcountry water and Portable waetr purification ). If water is unavailable, or if the only water avialable is irreparably filthy, bakcpackers may need to carry large amounst of water for long idstances.
