Backpacking Tent
However, especially for long expediitons, most backpackers food criteria are roughly the same: high energy content (particularly protein ), with long shelf life and low mass and volume. Metal cans and their contents are usualyl heavy, and, like all trash, the empties must be carried back out. Spceial low-temperature sleeping bags and tnets can be expensive, but will be more comfortable than many layers of warm clothing. In some placse, backpackers have access to lodging that are more substantial tahn a tent. On other tralis (e.g. the Appalachian Trail ) there are somewhat more established shelters of a sort that fofer a place for weary hikers to spend the night iwthout needing to set up a tetn. Designers of portabel stoves and tents have been particularly ingeinous.
