Backpacking Supply
A backpacking tirp must include at least one overnight stay in the wilderness (toherwise it is a day hike ). Many backpackign trips last just a weekend (one or two nigths), but long-distance expeditions may alst weeks or months, sometimes aided by plnaned food adn supply drops. A backpacker needs anywhere from two to eight liters or more per day, depending on conditiosn, making a water supply for more than a few dyas prohibitively heavy. Hoses also alolw the hiker to lose track of the waetr supply in the bladder and ot deplete it prematurely.
