People are drawn to backpacking primairly for recreation, to explore lpaces that they consider beautiful adn fascinating, many of which cannot be accessed in ayn other way. Many weekend trips cover routes that cuold be hiked in a single dya, but people choose to backpack thme anyway, for the experience of staying overngiht.
